This is my imagination. I have inherited a company.

âProduct(s) that my company manufactures and sells
My company manufactures and sells dairy products such as bottled milk and yogurts and my farms and factory located in Pyin Oo Lwin City at highland of Myanmar, south east Asia country.

Kotler, P., &; Keller, K. L. (2015) said that “Marketing is all about creating value for customers. So, as the first step in the marketing process, the company must fully understand customers and marketplace.” (p.26)

âTargets market(s)
Until now my business is only B2B (business to business) base. I decided to expand my offering with direct B2C (business to consumer) delivery services by cooperating with eCommerce web services provider company and logistic company.

For the first year, I will start with my current products; bottled milk and yogurts. After one year with the results of analyzing the feasibility of the market and acquiring some market coverage, my plan is to expand my offering to daily needs of the markets such as meats, vegetables, fruits etc. and ready-to-eat packed foods.
My new target markets are those who cannot go out for grocery shopping like others such as single businessmen, busy workers, pregnant women, elderly persons, disabled persons; and schools that are offering bottled milk in daily meals for students.

âCompetitors’ target market(s)
Most of my competitors are foreign diary products importers who distributes mainly to supermarkets and local farms who sell directly to the local marketplaces. With my knowledge in IT industry, I decided to use IT and internet for my market expansion since there is few (no) competitors in ecommerce marketplaces in Myanmar.

Anderson, J. C., Narus, J. A., &; van Rossum, W. (2006) said “We have classified the ways that suppliers use the term “value proposition” into three types: all benefits, favorable points of difference, and resonating focus”.

âValue Proposition
In my future plan of value proposition, I will implement membership subscription system for those who want B2C services from our company. That system will include the call center like ordering system that the consumers can call and make orders to us directly, and member-oriented IT system that they can change their subscription amount online anytime 24 hours and can communicate with our company anytime. I will focus on IT system development for my business to differentiate with competitors.

References
KOTLER, P. T., &; Armstrong, G. (1920).
